The mail-order program not a pharmacy; it does not buy or sell medications; and it does not import medications into the United States. Instead, the mail-order program acts as the agent for individual American consumers, performing acts that they could perform for themselves if they took the time and expense to travel outside the United States. Congress declares that in the enforcement against individuals of the prohibition of importation of prescription drugs and devices, the Secretary should focus enforcement on cases in which the importation by an individual poses a significant threat to public health and exercise discretion to permit individuals to make such importations in circumstances in which the importation is clearly for personal use and the prescription drug or device imported does not appear to present an unreasonable risk to the individual. There are many web sites offering medications from around the world at a wide range of prices. Some are well below wholesale cost in the country of origin. When it comes to prescription medication, it is important to know that the medication is sourced from the same licensed, inspected manufacturers supplying pharmacies in each country of origin with the product sold directly to residences in those countries. In other words, the products we sell from the United Kingdom, are the same products dispensed in United Kingdom pharmacies. The same is true for every country we source from.
India has very strict guidelines on the movement of medicine, stricter than the USA. Some medications are categorized differently there, and so are not available for export.
We facilitate all US brand-name medications. However, if the medication is a specialty medication, a refrigerated injectable, or a narcotic or stimulant controlled substance, it cannot be shipped.
Your medication may be a refrigerated injectable or considered a controlled substance. If this is not the case, our Customer Service staff will be happy to research the availability of that medication. Please call during business hours 8am-5pm Eastern, Monday through Friday, or you may use the chat box to leave a message and a representative will respond to you on the next business day if outside of normal business hours.
We accept all major credit cards*, including debit cards with a Mastercard or Visa logo. *FSA, HRA, or HSA cards are not accepted since MedAfford Global is an agent.
You may be charged one shipping fee per shipment from some countries. The shipping fee will appear in your shopping cart prior to your final purchase. If all your prescriptions fit in one package, you will be charged only one shipping fee (including prescriptions for family members at the same address).
Shipping times are typically 21 days. Currently, due to supply chain issues, some orders may experience longer shipping times. It may take 4-6 weeks to receive medications.
Legally, we cannot accept the return for use or re-use of any portion of any medication shipped to you once the shipment leaves the dispensing pharmacy. This is the same policy for medications dispensed by pharmacies here in the USA. It is illegal to restock and resell a medication once it has been dispensed to a customer.
Unfortunately, no. We cannot bill USA insurance carriers directly. However, we will provide you with a receipt upon request for insurance purposes. Your insurance company may or may not reimburse for medication supplied by pharmacies outside of the USA.
Our Global Pharmacies will not accept the co-pay with your Medicare program, however most cases, we can save you more money than Medicare while ensuring your catastrophic coverage.
Medications shipped from New Zealand, Australia, United Kingdom, and Canada will typically come in the original manufacturer sealed packaging. Medications in pill form from India typically come in blister pack strips of 8-10 pills per strip. For example, an order of 100 pills will consist of 10 strips of 10. The writing on all packing for overseas medications will be the writing required of the manufacturer for local distribution in that country. Medications manufactured for sale in Turkey will have the Turkish language. All other sources, including India, have English written on the manufacturer packaging.
The ingredient and dose that you order will match those dispensed in the USA, but the color, form, shape, and size may differ around the world. Prilosec, for example, was always a purple capsule in the USA, but an orange tablet everywhere else.
Our mail-order program is a trusted resource for access to international brand-name mail-order medications, and only utilizes top tier global pharmacies in countries such as Canada, New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, Turkey, and India*. The medications shipped from these pharmacies are the same medications dispensed at local pharmacies in those countries.
*Medications dispensed by our India pharmacy partner are sourced only from manufacturers with facilities approved to produce medications for sale in countries like the US, United Kingdom and other "first world" countries and/or good manufacturing process (GMP) certification by the World Health Organization (WHO).
Trade or brand names are registered by the manufacturer. In different countries, manufacturers will often use different trade names. The medications have the same active ingredients, but may look different and have a different trade name. (For example Prilosec (USA) and Losec (Canada), or Augmentin (USA) and Clavulin (Canada)).
The pharmacy industry in India is incredibly sophisticated and pharmaceutical companies there are some of the world's largest and most reputable. The low cost of these products is due to government regulation of prices, not inferior manufacturing practices.
